Itapuan Beach Tour

The north coast of Salvador used to be a refuge for many artists between the 50ies and the 70ies. The song "Tarde em Itapuã" which means "the afternood at Itapuã became one of the most famous song of Vonícios de Morais (the componist of "Girl from Ipanema). Itapuã used to be also a source of inspiration for Dorival Caymi, important songwriter who highlighted the beauty of the white dunes and the coconut palms, as well as the Abaeté Lagoon. We start the tour with a short stops at Abaeté Lagoon and at Itapuan Lighthouse Beach. Than we continue through the dunes of Stella Mares until Praia do Flamengo where we stop at a tend at the beach, for enjoying the afternoon. It is possible to have lunch at the beach or at a traditional restaurant with local specialities.
